Jen deHaan has close to 30 years in creative technology, education, and live performance. She has taught and coached improv at several schools including World's Greatest Improv School (WGIS) and Queen City Comedy, and served as Online School Director at WGIS. Her focus is in character acting.
Jen creates and produces audio dramas and publishes them on her portfolio of them at StereoForest. She holds a degree in teaching creative arts to adults from the University of Calgary, a certification with honours from Vancouver Film School, and a graduate studies certificate in developing healthy communities from Tufts University.
Her background is what she calls "a weird and useful combination of things": software and creative technology (including eight years at Adobe on the Creative Suite), improv and acting coaching, fitness instruction, and somatic education. The thread through all of it is teaching people how to do things with their bodies and their brains.
She is currently completing full certification in Community Resilience Model (CRM) Teaher and hosts two active podcasts: Your Improv Brain (improv, performance, and the neurodivergent experience in creative spaces) and Wired Divergent (nervous system regulation for neurodivergent brains, launching 2026).
